Project Estimator

This position will be a vital role and in addition to our management team, work duties will include preconstruction and hard bid estimating. Brewster is seeking hardworking, motivated individuals who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career rebuilding and expanding our infrastructure.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with managing and updating a log of potential opportunities; including evaluations of projects to determine applicability to our core competencies
  • Efficiently and accurately perform takeoffs, calculation, and assembly of data.
  • Develop a cohesive estimate structure supported by achievable preliminary work plans.
  • Communicate with and expand subcontractor & supplier database.
  • Negotiates the best deal for the company, factoring in safety, cost, quality & diversity
  • Evaluates risks & determines risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage projects, clients & field supervisors
  • Perform preliminary scheduling activates & pre-job planning.

Job Qualifications:

  • Construction experience in the Civil Construction field including the ability to read and understand civil plans and specifications
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience with estimating software including HCSS Heavy Bid/ Heavy job
  • Experience with construction plan take off software
  • Strong written & verbal communication and people skills
  • Solid time management skills & ability to self-motive to meet goals.
  • Experience with DOT's and public agencies preferred

Salary Range: $120,000 to $175,000

*Salary will be based off candidates' qualifications.
